Thoughts About Music
 Music is more than a pastime, more than a way to share time with friends. Music is the sound of the soul. It is an expression of who we are and raises us above the way we look at the world and ourselves. We see the world in a different way through music and sound.

Compline Choir

 There is special music on Sunday evenings during the school year sung by a group called the Pittsburgh Compline Choir. The singing style is chant and their music can be described as restful and peaceful. I have been part of many choirs and groups but none that had such an impact as the 12 years I sang with the Pittsburgh Compline Choir. I was one of the founding members of the choir and sang many Sunday evenings with them. The friendships I made while being a part of the choir will last a lifetime.

Music Education

 I majored in Music Education in college and taught in Early Childhood Education using my guitar. Kids have a special way of reacting to music. It brings out a lot of creativity.
