Gunntown Cemetery is an old cemetery in Naugatuck, Connecticut which was established in 1790. Many of Naugatuck’s citizens who supported independence from British rule during the Revolutionary War are buried in the cemetery. The cemetery is also considered by many to be haunted.

Great Hill Cemetery is an old cemetery in Seymour, Connecticut which dates back to the 1700s, and is still in use today. It is located in a section of woods known as Great Hill. The cemetery is also well-known to locals as Hookman’s Cemetery, due to a local urban legend associated with it.

Union Cemetery in Easton, Connecticut, which dates back to the 1600s, is touted as one of the most haunted cemeteries not only in Connecticut, but in the entire United States. Connecticut demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren have even written a book about the cemetery entitled Graveyard.

Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery

Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery is an old cemetery in Burlington, Connecticut which dates back to the late 1700s. It was used as a burial ground for members of the Seventh Day Baptist Church. The cemetery has mistakenly been referred to as “Burlington Center Cemetery” but is perhaps best-known as Green Lady Cemetery, due to a ghost that supposedly haunts the grounds.

Resurrection Mary

Resurrection Mary is likely the Chicago area’s best-known ghost story. Of the “vanishing hitchhiker” type, the story takes place outside Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois, a few miles southwest of Chicago.
