Princess Theatre in Melbourne has reported several ghosts since the building opened in 1886. The theatre’s best known ‘inhabitant’ is Frederick Baker, stage name ‘Federici’, a talented bass-baritone singer who died in March 1888 whilst singing Mephistopheles in Faust – and who was seen by the rest of the cast taking his bows with them shortly thereafter.

Thirteen people were executed at the Ballarat Gaol in Ballarat. The remains of seven criminals are still in the grounds. The Ballarat Ghost Tours operate nightly.

The “Light of Saratoga” is a legend located in the Big Thicket of Southeast Texas. This legend of a mysterious light is also known as the “Ghost Road” of Saratoga, the “Saratoga Light”, and “Bragg Road Ghost Light” by local residents. Located on a dirt road, it is a light that may appear and disappear at random during the dark of night without explanation.

Leonis Adobe, built in 1844, is one of the oldest surviving private residences in Los Angeles County and one of the oldest surviving buildings in the San Fernando Valley. Located in what is now Calabasas, California, the adobe was occupied by the wealthy rancher, Miguel Leonis, until his death in 1889. Following Leonis’ death, the property was the subject of a legal dispute between his common law wife, heirs, and a daughter born out of wedlock; the dispute lasted more than 15 years in the courts.
