In “Dogman, The Devil, and the Deep South,” we investigate a chilling case from the fall of 2025 in which a family claimed to be terrorized nightly by a creature emerging from the woods, a “wolf man” that attacked their pets and livestock. When our witness withdrew from contact after her grandmother warned that speaking of the beast would draw it closer, we turned our attention to the haunted forest surrounding an abandoned church steeped in local legend and dark history. Once linked to occult activity and rumored to be the lair of a malevolent presence, this area has long been a source of fear and mystery for locals who still warn, “Stay out of those woods.” In this boots-on-the-ground field investigation, we enter those forbidden woods to begin to uncover clues behind the Dogman phenomenon and the dark past surrounding this hidden away location in the Deep South.
