1974. William Patterson College hosts a talk by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Communications major John Catapano covers the event for the student newspaper. When the couple makes plans to check out strange occurrences at a private, off-campus residence, they invite him to tag along.
Both Lorraine and John experience extreme physical reactions to something inside the house during the visit. But, the Warrens have a prior commitment and can’t stay to conduct the necessary research and interviews.
Wanting to help the homeowners, John agrees to investigate the supernatural mystery – and uncovers a tale with a sordid and terrifying history that spans several centuries.
